Here is an account of last year's half:
Whole New You Fitness trained 16 women to run the inaugural Seattle Rock and Roll Half Marathon. Prior to beginning training this past February no one in the group had ever run longer than 6 miles -- and most of the group had never run more than 3 miles!
Using the Jeff Galloway method of marathon training (using run/walk intervals) each and every participant in the running group crossed over the finish line - injury free.
A special thank you to Custom Smoothies in Fremont for allowing us to use their store as the starting and finishing point on our long runs and to Michele and Sarah - our massage therapists at Eden Healing Paradise - for taking care of our achy bodies!
