My daughter, Ellie, and me.
My name is Abbe Jacobson and I am a Mom, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend and a lifetime athlete. I am a former college All-American swimmer as well as an occasional marathoner. I am also a cancer survivor who learned the powerful lesson at an early age that we can never take our health for granted...This is what brought me to the field of personal training.
The mission of Whole New You Fitness is to inspire everyone -- non-athletes and athletes alike -- to enjoy exercise in the great outdoors as a way of life. By adopting a regular exercise routine it is my hope that participants will feel happier, healthier and more whole.

My happy family!
There are many personal trainers and fitness companies for you to choose from. First and foremost it is just important for everyone to get out and get your bodies moving! But I want you to know that as the owner of a small fitness business I am constantly working to provide you with the most outstanding services. I work hard to be aware of all the latest trends in the fitness industry and I work hard to ensure that all of my boot camps are safe, challenging and fun! I am certified and insured as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise. I also hold a certification in CPR through the American Red Cross.
I have two great children and a wonderful husband and I live in Magnolia. In my previous life before becoming a full-time Mom and part-time Personal Trainer I worked as a newspaper reporter and public policy analyst and I hold a BA in Political Science from Kenyon College and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University.
Sports and exercise have always been a big part of my life. As a child I excelled in swimming, but also enjoyed a number of different sports. My senior year of high school I was a tri-captain of the field hockey, swimming and lacrosse teams and I received the outstanding female athlete award. I was awarded All-American and All-Conference honors in swimming and All-Conference honors in field hockey while attending Kenyon College.
Unfortunately I fell away from health and wellness in my 20s as I focused on my professional life. While I studied hard at getting a masters degree, I became completely out of shape with no exercise routine to speak of. This continued until I got the shock of my life at 35 when I was diagnosed with early stage ovarian cancer. It was this diagnosis that compelled me to change the course of my life.
Having successfully battled this difficult disease (currently an 8-year survivor), I have turned my attention exclusively to promoting health and wellness in my community. My purpose and passion is to infuse as many individuals as possible with the joy of exercise. Adopting a regular exercise routine can help you feel empowered, strong, healthy and vibrant. This can enable you to make many positive changes throughout your life. Let me help you make those changes...choose Whole New You Fitness today and get moving! Get fit, fast and fierce!
